I'm overweight. That's no surprise. Many Americans are. I weigh over 200lbs, which comes as a surprise to many who meet me. I'm often asked where I am putting this weight. Well, trust me, it's all over. But I also think I have a healthy dose of muscle which is running my numbers high. I've tried many a diet: Atkins, Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, etc. They have all worked. The reason I gain it all back and more isn't due to the diet, it's due to me. Either I don't combine the diet with enough exercise...or I get lots of exercise and don't diet...or I just stop doing both.
This time is different from all the other times. This time I am putting my money where my mouth is. I have hired a personal trainer! (see kids, when you don't have any debt, you can afford cool stuff!) I joined gym #3 (
Snap Fitness) and I will be working out with my trainer 2 times a week. I really think that will be enough to get me in all the other days I should be working out. Just knowing that a professional is going to be hounding me about it is great motivation.
Wish me luck in my new endeavor. I figure I can be happy with 2 scenarios. Either my weight goes down significantly or my body molds itself into a pleasing shape. Hopefully, I will get both.
