A Libra, on our scales

Hi

It occurred to me today! In connection with the Dawkins speech video (link to follow) I have been thinking about this, and perhaps about that. Today the thought was this: the moment!

I was walking along, moving my tongue (not speaking, just moving my tongue inside my mouth), and thinking about my magical lack of any awareness of the deep structures between the will to move my tongue, and the willful movement of my tongue. Little twinkling sparks (today I fancied it was electrical current running through tensile wires that form a ribbing inside the muscle of my tongue).

No time seems to elapse. No time that one who's ancestor's evolved in middle world would be able to recognize, that is! And this is another example of a very important little intuition: the smallest unit of time: the moment. How long is a moment? I could very well say, "it is about the amount of time between will to move and willful movement." It seems instantaneous when it is happening, but can be shown not to be by situations in which the willful movement came all too late.

Fun moments!

PS what does elapse mean!?
