The pyramids, again

Hi

I had a dream last night, the first in a while that has been memorable but not lifestyle changingly frightening. One of my friends had discovered that he had left a pot of chicken soup on the back-burner for, like, three years. The burner had been on all that time, but just on a low heat, and since he never uses that pot or that burner, he hadn't noticed until now. He said, "this is amazing, like something right out of the Big Bang." And lifted the lid to show us all.

Inside the pot was a white powder - not unlike ash - and a strange smell. He explained that this material has unusual qualities when burned, and proceeded to demonstrate. He dropped a lit match onto the top of the pile, and immediately a column of the white stuff froze, becoming perfectly clear ice. Looking down on the ice from above I could see a constantly shifting pattern of colors with a distinctly 1980s sci-fi feel to it.

When the phenomena had completely resolved itself we stood together in the center of an enormous city that only reminded us of Egypt. The sky was a deep purple, and fires burned purple in braziers here and there. Behind us stood enormous pyramids that dwarfed those of Earth's pharaohs. Further into the complex we discovered two wise men and four dead dogs. The dogs were each wrapped in a separate plastic bag, and each had a simple grey stone pressed into it's back. The wise men wore purple robes. "How did you come to be here?"

"We burned a white ash," someone said.

"Ah, of course. What did you make yours out of?"

"Chicken soup," he said, and the wise men chimed in, "that had rotted for a million years!" We all laughed, and they explained that anything left to rot or burn eventually becomes white matter, which can open portals into alternate dimensions (among its certain other qualities).

z.

PS ask me about my lifestyle changes.
