Very good analysis. Good points. I agree with most of them, but I am hoping that JKR won't kill Harry at the end. If he IS the seventh horcrux, I don't see how he can live, if destroying two of them killed Dumbledore, "the greatest wizard of the time". *sigh* Don't let Harry die, Jo.

I know she has said she won't discuss her religeous beliefs as then people will be able to work out what's coming, and I really, really hope you are not correct in your final paragraphs. It would be too cruel. I'm banking on her not killing him. I really won't enjoy the final book if she does. I think Snape will die instead, to save him, and so redeem himself. That I can live with.

*rubs hands with glee* We've got three years of this before we know the answers. Great, isn't it!

Thanks. I do believe my Horcrux theory. While it is just a theory, it does make a lot of sense - after all, Voldemort left part of him inside Harry when he gave Harry that scar.

But we have another 2-3 years to wait and find out!

It doen't matter weather Snape or Harry dies, J.K. comes out with a great sotry any way you put it.

But if eaitehr of them die, i will be horridly depressed. It is true i <3 Snape wayyyyy more than any other character, but I will feel so bad if Harry never gets to move past Voldemort.

And if Snape dies, he dies having killed the only person (what about his mommy though?) that ever showed trust, compassion etc to ward him and most undoubtedly alone.

I'm really with you hoping she won't kill Harry. My credibility as a parent is riding on it. My daughter was traumatized when a series she was greatly in love with ended (after 55 books at $5 a pop, plus "special" additions) with the author killing off all the main characters and then saying in effect: "I knew you wouldn't have wanted them growing old with nothing to do."

As a result, about the time of PoA, my daughter declared she didn't want to read any more Harry Potter, because Rowling would kill H/R/Hr. We said she would have too much respect for the fans to do that...
