Jet boys

Who's the famous person, character, musician, actor, whatever, that you're really attracted to, genuinely, honestly - as a person? Not just "they're hot" or whatever. Compatibility aside.

For me it's John Lydon. He's just what a man ought to be. Sensible, lively, honest, and I never saw such truly happy manners.

It might surprise some to hear that someone thinks Johnny Rotten has good manners, but I mean it in a different sense than usual. He treats those who he believes deserve respect with respect, and that's all you can ask for a person. I believe that he's not too proud to change his mind about someone and admit that he's wrong, either.

This opinion was formed through the considerable amount of media coverage - interviews, appearances, performances, that I've seen of him. He's changed as he's grown older but that's the natural and just transformation of someone who's grown older and changed and hasn't tried to hide it.

I'd also mention Keith Moon but I suspect that if I had met him I wouldn't have liked him. He appeared from what I saw of him to be dreadfully histrionic. But so charming!

Newsflash: the New York Dolls are fantastic. "Jet Boy" is the best song I've heard in ages.
