More interestingly, at least for me, I have found that there are alternate terms for alternate history (or alternative history), including allohistory, which combines the Greek allo-, other, and history; uchronie (also uchronia, a French neologism that combines utopia, a place that doesn't exist, with the Greek chronos, time; and counterfactualism.
