Once, the world was very dark. There was but a tiny spark! Poked its head up, smiled a smile -- decided it would stay a while. It danced and jumped, it bounced and twisted -- I don't think you could have missed it! It was lighter than a dream, swifter than a silver stream; more mischievous than the breeze; jumpier than a baby's knees! I could see it dance and wobble, saw it bobbing like a bauble; followed it with my two eyes; then my feet, to my surprise! I hopped up and squatted down, wiggled, jiggled, jumped around. Closed my eyes to feel the rhythm, spread my arms -- and then I hit him! He was sitting, sleeping, dreaming, seeing the stars beneath him gleaming; moved his arms a little ways -- then I'd hit him in the face! Startled, he gave a final snore, spluttered, woke, slid to the floor -- brushed aside my explanation; he had almost missed his station! In a blink he'd left the trolley -- and that spark that made me jolly, dimmed and shimmered, jumping madly; tried to fly and botched it badly -- disappearing, fading, tearing, gave a final spring, and, veering, landed briefly on my nose, dipped and kissed me, then it rose. Hardly breathing, in a motion, I reached out to this emotion, but the little thing exploded, faded, fractured, fainted, folded; gave a little soundless cry, like 'I'll miss you' -- or 'goodbye!' -- and my lovely friend had gone; I stood in the dark alone.
Behind the man the doors slid closed, and so its secret was exposed. My little spark, with all its grace, reflected from his watch's face.
That is an amazing doll. I am sure he'll love it very much! I also never pegged you as a crocheting kind of person. But it's good you found something you like! :D I used to knit, a long time ago, but I don't really have the patience for it anymore.
I've changed in some ways, but mostly I'm still the same Alex you know and love ^__^ like tolerate used to talk to.
S'just a nice poem. I wrote it for a friend on the subway a few months ago. It just makes me smile.
I can teach you how to knit! :D S'very super easy. Come on over! I still have my old yarn and needles.
There was sort of a lady friend for a while, but she is mostly gone now. No one else special has appeared, except fun exciting people to IM that I will never see. :( Same old Alex.
