Had a pretty OK day. Not too stressful, pretty productive.
However, I did receive news that Crystal Dynamics just laid off a fourth of its workforce… We’ll see how well that bodes for my being hired… One friend thinks this means they’re getting rid of experienced employees so they can hire cheaper entry-level people. I hope so, man, for both our sakes.
The same friend who recommended me works over at Crytek, in Germany. He proposed as an option that I could apply there. They also have an office in England, which would be my first choice out of the two.
I don’t know if I can handle a move that big again though. It seems like every time something seems to be going right where I’m at, life wants to lead me away from that place, and I’m so tired of having that feeling. I get verklempt just thinking about it…
God, please help me to feel more at peace with my powerlessness. Let me really understand what it means to give You control over my life. Just, whatever You do, please lead this little boat to happier shores. Amen.
