We ended up going to the Public Market. Again. I had Mongolian Beef for a change, though. Maybe tomorrow we can get a burger. *fingers crossed*
Just finished packing 10 boxes (12”x12”x5½”) full of books, CD and DVD cases, and some towels and t-shirts. I’m going to be sending them from Martinez, CA to Cleveland, OH via Amtrak’s Shipping Express service, which costs $67 for the first 100 lbs, and shouldn’t be more than $287 for up to 500 lbs. It should take 4 days, tops, unless there’s a lot of snow on the tracks.
I’ll be picking up the boxes with M when I go visit for my birthday. It’s pretty exciting: these boxes represent the beginning of the moving process which I hope to complete by the first week of April, in time for M’s birthday. :)
I should note that I photographed every single item in the boxes (266 in total) as part of my personal inventory effort (per the money book). I figured moving was the best time to take stock of all the stuff I have.
Making good progress on Blood of the Fold. It’s less sucky than I expected. Maybe it’s because I can see the actors from Legend of the Seeker in my head now. Speaking of which, I watched all the way through S02E09 (Dark) via Netflix. Looking forward to more episodes!
Have started watching George Lucas’
THX 1138. It’s weird and artsy. It reminds me a lot of
Equilibrium, except there are no
gun katas. :(
