It occured to me that I haven’t really been posting consistenly of late. Hopefully, starting from today, I’ll get back on a proper daily schedule.

I thought today I would post a list of the books I’ve read since May, those I’m currently reading, and those in the queue. Some of these I’ve found on my own, or owned and decided to re-read (1), others have been brought to my attention that had been on my “To Read” list (2), and others have been entirely the happy by-product of interacting with one of the most voracious readers I’ve ever known (3).

Of course, this is the list of books; I’ve also been working on several movies. I’ll see if I can post that tomorrow.
  • READ (not in this particular order)
  • The Forever War, by Joe Haldeman1
  • His Majesty’s Dragon, by Naomi Novik1
  • Throne of Jade, id.
  • Black Powder War, id.
  • Empire of Ivory, id.
  • Victory of Eagles, id.
  • A Severe Mercy, by Sheldon Vanauken3
  • The Good News about Sex & Marriage, by Christopher West1
  • (audiobook) Sense and Sensibility, by Jane Austen2
  • Star Wars: X-Wing: Rogue Squadron, by MA Stackpole3
  • Star Wars: X-Wing: Wedge’s Gamble, id.
  • Star Wars: X-Wing: The Krytos Trap, id.
  • By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept, by Paulo Coelho3*
  • READING
  • Star Wars: X-Wing: The Bacta War, by MA Stackpole3
  • (audiobook) Anne of Green Gables, by LM Montgomery2
  • From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs Basil E Frankweiler, by EL Konigsburg3
  • (sporadically) 2009 Exercises of the Fraternity of Communion and Liberation3
  • (weekly) Man and Woman He Created Them, by John Paul II3
  • (semi-abandoned) Caritas in Veritate, by Benedict XVI1/3
  • IN THE QUEUE
  • The rest of the X-Wing series, by Aaron Allston and MA Stackpole3
  • Star Wars: Specter of the Past, by Timothy Zahn3**
  • Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, by PK Dick2
  • The Time Traveler’s Wife, by Audrey Niffenegger2
  • The Golden Ocean, by Patrick O’Brian3
  • The Sword of Truth series, by Terry Goodkind1

*I really want to read it in Spanish (A Orillas del Río Piedra Me Senté y Lloré), since I don’t know Portuguese (Na margem do rio Piedra eu sentei e chorei). It seems more appropriate anyway, since it is set in Spain and France.

**May need to precede this one with other books to fill in the gaps in my knowledge of the mythos.
