How big would those drumsticks be? It's a bit of a mental gear change to imagine those stop-motion dinosaurs from the old films, and even Godzilla, as...well...Big Bird. I know it's not the only instance of carnivorous avians (most birds eat flies and spiders, and then it goes all the way up to avian predators), but after years of my childhood thinking of the T-rex as a big ol' scaly lizard, the idea of it being covered in soft downy feathers seems a bit strange.
Although the idea that dragons, or at least the Oriental feathered serpent, actually has some basis in reality does much for my faith in the world.
