Vampire Meals on Wheels

Otherwise known as the Blood Service, are here at the hospital today. So I'm going over this afternoon to give blood. You might want to think about that in case of accidents, you know, a la "Hellblazer: Tainted Love". Not that there's anything wrong with my blood, but, you know, the "Interesting Times" curse might be contagious through direct fluid contact...

In other news...The Inland Revenue have determined my tax code for the year is the normal one, thus removing the nasty "X" for Emergency Tax.

Also, have heard from the solicitor regarding the suing of the taxi driver who allegedly hit me and my friend in October last year. Surprise, surprise, he's denying any impact took place, so it looks like we make an appointment to see the solicitor and take it from there. To be honest, I didn't expect him to turn round and say "It's a fair cop, Guvnor, I hit both of these sober young ladies on a deserted street, on a pedestrian crossing, in a well lit area."

I've spent most of the last few days researching bits and bobs for a character for the Shards event that riksowden has been drumming up people for, and think I've almost finished although waiting on word from the GM's on one issue before the character is complete. All I need to do now is get the Boy Wonder to create a character (always easier when one person has gone through the rules) and then wait till the end of the month for money to be available for the booking.

Not much else has been going on, although I'll hide the next bit just in case people are TiVo-ing .
New season Angel, as per Sky One last night. Dear god, what were they thinking? The series seems to be floundering in its first episode, maybe trying to desperately claw its way back from the abyss that was the last season.

In brief: Angel is bumming around, and generally finds out that as the boss of the LA office of Wolfram and Hart, he can't do his lonesome broodiness thing any more. Cur Irritated Broodiness instead, followed by voilence later.

Fred is, as she always has been. There because if she wasn't, Wes would have to be unfeasibly brainy and therefore unbelievable.

Wes - the only man in history to be a Vampire's watcher. Still doing the same old, same old.

Gunn - has weird surgery to turn him into Uber-Lawyer. Nice, and much cheaper than law school. W&H only ask for your soul, not your soul AND lots of cash for tuition.

Eve - because maybe people liked the idea of a narrator in the last season of BtVS, so it's a 20 something girl. Or she's a cheaper Lila replacement.

The best bit here was definitely the introduction of Harmony as Angel's secretary. Tells you how bad this episode was, really, huh?
