Why Arthur? Because he is the right mix between asshole and nice guy. My favourite thing about the show is that it is set up for character growth. We all know what Merlin and Arthur are supposed to become in the future. The interesting part is to see how Arthur is going to develop from the spoiled brat he was in the first episode, to a king that can unite the whole country.
Favourite Arthur pairing(s): Not sure… I’m not much of a shipper when it comes to the show. I really like the friendship between Arthur and Merlin, but I’m not a fan of slash. I sort of ship Arthur/Gwen though I still haven’t quite made up my mind if I like Gwen or not. I also like Merlin/Morgana and I might be the only one, but I ship Uther/Queen Troll. I think they made a perfect match. ;-)
Favourite Arthur episode(s): The Poisoned Chalice, The Labyrinth of Gedref, The Once and Future Queen, The Sins of the Father, Sweet Dreams… heck, I pretty much liked every scene he was in, in any of the 26 episodes of the show.
