Drosophila Extra
The Drosophila series is over (or at least on hiatus), but my amazing co-worker pointed me towards the following article that provides insight into the fruit-fly psyche:

So apparently the substance-abuse that was portrayed in Drosophila 4: The Face of God was actually pretty accurate! You know what this means... Yes, an alternate universe fic of my favourite ever romance novel about a recovering alcoholic, The Rake and the Reformer , is already in the works, once the current series is finished.
PS. I am a little disturbed that one of the researchers' findings is that fruit flies who practice necrophilia are more likely to become alcoholics. I mean, who comes up with these experiments? But luckily for you I don't think I'm actually enough of a horror-writer to produce any fiction about it.
