This semester has been wizzing by...everything is groovy. I finally figured out how to use the bow...and upright lessons sound like music somewhat now...I got a job for the summer, as an orientation leader, so I'll be in Lowell for an extra month (until June 28-29)...Mainers should visit me...and then I have oral surgery on July 3rd because my mouth is dumb. This summer May 22-July 28 I'll be taking an online course (accounting/financial). Whatever.
Next year I'll be busy. I got accepted for the RA position (even though its in Leitch, I still am excited about that). The job will cover all of my living expenses (room/board) and give me some extra cash too. I got voted in MEISA as treasurer, and I'm going to sign up for 20 credits. That way I'll be ahead by a semester or more.
Hopefully a year from now (next summer) I can get a coffee grabbing internship for the ol' resume. I've realized that I don't know what I want to do with my life. I do know that I'd like to perform, make my own music, even though right now (and for the entire college year) I haven't been able to finalize anything. It'll come again someday. I've realized the need for me expressing myself, and its something I haven't been able to do for a little while. I keep trying to make tunes that I just don't feel...and its time to go back to the feeling....
I also know that I don't have a passion to play music for a living, and that I really want to travel...so maybe a tour manager, sales, something like that.... My professor was telling me about all of the overseas internships available to us for our required internship...including one in Tokyo...England.... That'd b cool.
I finally memorized my recital music...so if any of you are bored on May 12, come to Lowell and see a tight jazz group...or May 10 for a boring choral concert....
I went into Boston (I was going to call you, Ryan, but I bummed a ride from some dudes and we went right to the concert and back) and saw Regina Spektor at the Axis...she is incredible.... The chick who opened for her was pretty cute too...I forgot her name though...her last name is Owens...good stuff.
I haven't been in touch with Mainers for a while...I hope everyone is doing their thing. I went home last weekend for two days, and on the way over we bumped into a deer...it was realy sad to hit the thing and then see it die.... So with that delay, I was home for about 12 hours, and I didn't even get to have a good chat with my parents or anything.... Home is becoming a nice place to go to to unwind.... I like that, because I like it here too...so the worlds are good.
Next year, since I'll be an RA, I will have a single. And, sadly, Nick will no longer be my roomate. No more Seinfeld...heartfelt conversations.... Ah well.... I never got to sexile anybody in college...as my dream dies....
I have bagels, and I wake up every morning now with excitement, just to eat the wonderful bagel. Those things are great alarm clocks.
This week'l be good...I have an officer training meeting tonight for MEISA, tomorrow night I have RELAY class for my RA position, Thursday night I have a recital...its nice to have things to do at night.
I'm not coming home for Easter, me parents will be in Florida visiting my Grandma and Grandpa.
Alright, go do your thing...I'll do mine too....
