It's not quite so terrible right now, all things considered. I'd be faring better if not for ~womanhood~ descending upon me with the power of a freight train. I've already dealt with That Lady Who Does Price Adjustments Five Months After Purchasing and Weird Chick Who's Doing Something Questionable. I'd almost be willing to tempt fate and...

So I'm an hour in and I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M DOING.
Maybe I'm blind, but there is no shrine to the north. There's... Matoya's Cave, and she ain't helpful because she can't find her eye. And then there's the boo-hoo town of Pravoka where I got a pirate ship and now I'm apparently shacking up with some mopey elves in their overpriced inn.
Now I'm just going around in circles fighting sharks. And wolves. And not-so-menacing sand worms.
Does this game ever get any better, or does it continue to be hilariously bad throughout?
