Glad its over

I think this is the 1st time I've ever been glad and felt relieved that Christmas is over. 'Course its also the 1st time I've not been with my family for the holidays too. I talked with my mom yesterday and she said "Yeah, your dad and I were talking and we decided that next year we'd help give you all money to come home." to which I agreed heartily with and promised to save my pennies and shop flights early.
I did go down to Pasadena to see my brother and hang out with an old friend. It turned out to be an upsetting and heartbreaking experience. Not with my brother, he was fine, but I essentially had a tiny disagreement with said friend on Thursday night and they proceeded to treat me with utter disregard and disrespect. I was a wreck about it all Friday, and then just felt miserable and sick the rest of the time. It sounds overly dramatic to say it ruined my Christmas, and it didn't ruin all the good things I'd already experience, but it did wreck any joy I had left for the season.
I did get to do some fun things while down there, they were just all colored by my sadness. I went on an hour horse ride around Griffith's Park(think Griffith's Observatory which is in soooo many movies), got to see the Hollywood tourist stuff, even walked down Sunset Blvd(which at dusk is rather sketchy), went to Downtown Disney and then finally saw "Casino Royale" with my brother.
*side note* That movie was awesome, I literally forgot it was a Bond movie at times 'cause it was so not Bond-like, in a very good way. The night before we had watched an older movie of Daniel Craig's and I made a comment about how I didn't think he was all that good looking. I completely retracted my statement after "Casino Royale" :) Sweet sassy molassy!
I ended up coming home on Sunday because there wasn't anything for me to stay for on Monday, no dinner or anything to attend. Plus I had frankly had enough of sleeping on the floor in my brother's 1 room hovel with his bizzare snorring. I am very glad I came back early, it was so nice to be in my own bed and sleep in yesterday. Plus I got to hang out with my friend Renee that night, we went and got sushi and did sake bombs. Yesterday we got lunch and lazed watching movies in the afternoon.

All in all I'd say I had a good Christmas, I had several small, happy little Christmas experiences prior to last week that were enough, but I'm still glad its done. Now life can return to normal and maybe I wont miss my family as much.*cross fingers*

Oh, on the presents side I got a bunch of monies for my bike, now I'll be able to get a realllly sweet mountain bike!
