"Lady Ishizu... will you lead us now?"

There's a little girl pulling at her robes.

The Lord is dead.  Her brothers are gone.  The elder tombkeepers' frantic search through the complex and the village beyond has proved (blessedly) fruitless.

Her brothers are halfway to Luxor by now.  Halfway to freedom.  Halfway to the solemn assurance of her clan's destruction.
She's never known these chambers to echo so airlessly, as if with suffocated accusation.

The little girl pulls at Ishizu's robe again.  Her own robe is linen.  Worn.  They'll be needing supplies...

"Will you lead us, Lady Ishizu?"

Will she?

She looks around.  They're in the holy chambers; the little girl shouldn't even be in here with her, but she needed...someone...

On the North wall, a carving of the Pharaoh.  You have abandoned our purpose, his stone eyes say.  You aided the traitors.  Is my memory worth so much less than a little boy's smile?

On the South wall, the Tauk beckons. The future is determined.  See what you will do.  See whom you abandon.

On the East wall, her father died.

She loves her people.  She loves her Pharaoh.  But she loves her brothers more.

"Will you--?"

"Yes," she lies.
