Summary: What goes around comes around, and John Locke knows it.
There’s a thin line between reality and fantasy, between the hunter and the prey.
Time and again, the hunter becomes prey, and prey becomes the hunter.
Maybe - just maybe - there’s a chance that John Locke might dream of that; he’s tired of playing the role of the hunter, the savior, the superhuman, always ready, always there.
A little peace of the heart? No. Coziness? Not in the least.
It’s the thirst for running he craves, the rush of adrenaline that occurs when one knows there’s no escape.
“I worked too much on composure”, he muses. “It’s time to let go.”
Stroking his chin, he moves the black pawn.
