I keep forgetting to update. I tried to make it at least once a month, but I've been busy.
The Nova is now drivable, with two major things left to be fixed. The carb needs to be rebuilt, and the exhaust needs fixing.
The carb is running extremely lean on one side. It's causing a few issues, like the rockers and valves are wearing quickly. when I had the valve covers off, I could see one bank was a significantly different shade than the other - one was getting much dirtier.
Also, one of the exhaust pipes got RED hot when I first started it. I think that because the passenger side bank of cylinders is running lean, it's causing a lot of excess heat, which not only causes the pipes to get hot, but the heat transfers to the starter, which could be why I go through solenoids so fast.
I now have no income and face the possibility of moving to somewhere I can get a job. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet, but when I decide, it will be a quick decision. Until then, I will begin preparing to move, just in case.
Crap, I totally forgot to deal with the 6 cylinder. I got several emails wanting parts from it. I'm gonna go do that right now.
