I can't believe I'm 20 weeks pregnant already. Ok, technically I won't be until tomorrow. I'm starting to realize that we're going to have a crying, wiggly, peeing baby in our house really soon. And he/she will never leave. Whoa. This is a good thing, but somehow I just figured pregnancy would take longer. I'm sure by January, time will have ( Read more... )

Heh, this part made me laugh: "And he/she will never leave. Whoa." :)

Has the pregnancy been better or worse than you expected, so far?

I hear they leave when they're 18, but come back over the next five years occasionally to borrow money. :}

I'm having a hard time realizing that it's been 7 years since our sr year in high school. When did all that time go by?

I don't think even 18 is a guarantee these days. How many people do you know with at least one 18+ child who still lives at home? Maybe if the economy ever picks up, that will change.

Neither better nor worse. I thought I'd avoid morning sickness entirely since my mom and grandmas didn't get it, but I didn't quite escape it. 3 weeks of nausea is nothing compared to most women, though. I haven't had any complications, but I didn't expect to. I was surprised how tired I was (and still am, to a lesser extent), but I shouldn't have been. Now we'll see how the second half goes and whether things stay this straight forward.

It's the difference between the concept of our having a child and the reality of it happening soon that gets me.
