July is mostly just starting. It's my birthday month, I will be a whopping 46.
It's taken almost a year, but I finally got my bat house up. But it's inside my log house. I know that sounds weird. It started about a month ago, I saw a bat flying near our house, I said we need to get my bat house up. And a few nights or weeks (I'm not good with time) a bat showed up IN our house. The poor little thing couldn't find it's way out. So, we thought if we put in up inside, once the bat moved in, we could take it outside. The bat never did move in. The bat house in still hung inside. And some how the bat escaped, I hope. I haven't seen him in a long while.
I'm done with the Census Job. Most of my checks went to pay down the RV park's bills. But if only one more person moves out, the park wont be able to pay it's bills and so I'm job hunting again. I don't qualify for unemployment, because it's based on the quarter before you lost your job and I didn't work that quarter. We've collected up a bunch of stuff to sell and tried a yard sale at Tiffany's last month, made less than the ad cost. We're going to try this weekend at Penny's, last year we did pretty good. I have a good chance at a job in Dutch John, almost 2 hours away, but it's only part time. But it has huge potential, but not for a year. She'll decide and call Friday. I'm pretty sure I have it. Unless somebody new applies, she mostly said I have it. Then I'll look for another part-time job that will work around it's schedule.
We've almost developed our own 4th-of-Ju-christmas. I think next year it will be closer. Anyway we celebrated, Jenny's, Andrew's, and Father's Day in one party. We should have included Nicolas and maybe me. So, Nicolas got his own party, and mine I think we will combine it with UBIC (a Uintah Basin wide party), that we usually go to.
I'm starting to get moving fever. So, since I can't, I spent the day re-arranging the house. I'm hoping next year, I'll be able to use my job as an excuse to move. I'll have the whole US open to me. It gives me hope and maybe I'll be able to stay put for a while. Sometime just changing life, helps me to stay put. But Tiffany is getting itchy feet too, so we may take her where ever we go, if we go. There are a couple of possibilities out here. I hope to become a Post Master.
Uintah County Building and Zoning has put into implantation a new rule. After any inspection you have 180 to complete another inspection or you lose your building permit. They didn't inform us until we had only 18 days left. They did put in a loop-hole, and we were able to use it, so now we have another 180 (-60 or so). We're ready for one more inspection, but then it will take a while to have the next one complete. So, we're going to strech it out. Because we only have one more after that and that one is going to be very costly and time consuming. So, we hope to work on it, in between the other two inspections, maybe ask for an extention here and there.
Between me working, Tony not able to help much, trying to find creative ways to make money, there hasn't been much time to work on the house and in winter most of our time is spent keeping it warm. And I fight winter depression. Anybody know of a nature cure for that I'm interested.
Oh, I made my first batch of home made laundry soap. It wasn't as good as the reviews, but better and way cheaper than cheap soap without purfumes and easy to make. For about $10 I can make a years supply and still give some away, to get other's oppions.
My baby garden is doing pretty good, i have 2 green tomatoes so far. So, far not one cherry from the cherry trees or bush. They make flowers and we have bees, just no fruit. Open to suggestions.
Love ya all
