Superb Saturday/Sunday!!!!
Salutations!!!!
Wow this has been a superbly exciting day for me. It never ceases to amaze how life can be so boring and times, and yet so many things can happen at the same time. As the saying goes, "When it rains, it pours". From the initial exciting tumble into ops training where i'm learning so much more about what irc has to offer and what can be done, i am now studying french under the tutelege of Fwoggie!!! Gosh... so much fun.
I've also checked it with my parents, apparently my brother's plane stops over in Chicago and Hong Kong. My friend who hurt her back in a fall called again, had a great chat with her. Apparently her back is starting to hurt again. I advised her to get some rest and to stop moving around. She and I had a chat about the presence of politics in the churches. I for one told her that politics could not be avoided as it was part of man's nature. It saddens me at times that even the strongest based churches sometimes fall into the habit of playing politics among their members. I can now understand why was it that Mahatma Gandhi was quoted as saying "The only thing that ever prevented me from becoming a Christian are the Christians themselves". I pray that one day, the focus of the churches will return to God and not on status and politics. Perhaps one day, christians among all denominations will be able to come together as one. Alas, that is but a dream. All that we can do is merely pray and hope for the best.
Also, i have started to gain an appreciation for foreign languages and art. It never ceases to amaze me how wonderful it is that even in a different language, music still manages to give the same impression. What a truely wonderful world we live in. So much to learn, so much to experience. Perhaps it is time we let go of our fears and try to live life to it's fullest, experiencing all that this world has to offer us. I for one will most certainly try my best to experience more of life. Anyways it's time to sleep hehe..
