Movies and Fish.

Ok, so I guess one doesn't feel totally moved away until you have time for it to sink in or something that can only happen when you're moved away happens, like someone coming to visit for example.

Jen came to visit and see my place and I officially feel "away," although I'll be back quite frequently, including next weekend since I can't cash any checks in this town because my former boss uses a bank that doesn't verify funds for check cashing places like money tree and there isn't a Bank of America in town. So I'm kinda boned until I get these checks cashed.

I've gotten pretty settled in for the most part but I still need to find out how everything is going to be situated in the place, the setup works for now but it's difficult to get everything together in a way that looks good while at the same time be functional and practical as well. This is particularly challenging when you take into account the awkwardly arranged floor plan of my apartment and the god-damned radiators(mind you they don't work and the owner wants to leave them to help preserve the old world feel) that are always in the way when I think up a new way to rearrange the furniture. Ah-well, se va…

I just signed up for Netflix and after reviewing my queue list I've come to the realization that I can make no discernible generalization about my movie proclivities. So, there you go. The first three movies that arrived were: Season One Disc One of Carnivale, recommended by Jerry, L4yer Cake recommended by many, and Raging Bull, a shame of mine to say but, that I have never seen. I've also tried to start putting movies on the list that I wouldn't normally rent. Since I've got the 3 at a time unlimited plan anyway- I'm sure to run out of movies I would select to watch on my own accord.

Moving away from movies, to other things that occupy my mind and time, I'm now the proud, new owner of two radical goldfish- specifically an Orange-capped Oranda and a Black Moor named Mildred and Melvin respectively. They're eating like pigs!

Actually, truth told, I don't really know how much goldfish are supposed to eat… Any Advice?

Melvin's definitely the more aggressive of the two- probably a coping mechanism to deal with the other fish making fun of his disproportionately gigantic eyeballs.

This is Melvin

This is Mildred

I finally got my bike back this weekend after I got the headset replaced, and let me tell you; it's bike country out here. It's flat as hell.

School's going well although I've only had three days so we'll see. I'm taking four classes so I should be fairly busy.

So let me know if you have any books, movies or goldfish I should look into.

I'm in the market.

That's all
