Sands of time slip away so quickly sometimes...
Today is our 2nd to last full day here.
There is a soldier in our platoon that is very sweet, she just got engaged over Christmas break, and she has been always chipper since she started here at the intel school. She's part of a national guard unit that just deployed, and she wasn't sure if she was going to be deployed w/ them or if she was gonna get a break when she graduated here.
Well, today we were all filling out some final paperwork in the conference room when DS Young came in and told her that he'd just gotten off the phone with her unit and that she should pack her sand shorts. That didn't go over with her very well, and she had to leave the room shortly afterward. DS Young came in and looked around like "What did I do?". She didn't want to go to Iraq right away, wanted a little breather time before getting deployed, but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen. :(
