I hate Doctor's!
I had my colonoscopy done on tuesday.
It was by far, the worse experience I have EVER had in my life!!
First, it takes them 7 TIMES to get the IV in my vein. I guess my veins just kept collasping, due to being dehydrated.
Then, I get into Rm #2...The nurse is with me, getting ready to knock me out.
She's telling me a story, about another nurse, who fell in the same room I'm in. Right after that, she trips and rips out my IV and my heart monitor, that was stuck to my chest and back!!!
wait, it gets worse!
It takes me 3 HOURS to come too, alot longer than they anticipated. They call for Ron to come get me from recovery, I'm wheeled out to the car, I'm still a little out of it.
I get home, I feel out of sorts still...having a hard time pulling out of that 'dream state'.
About 2 hour later, I start to vomit.
12 hour's later, I'm still throwing up. I call Dr. Garcia, the guy who did the colonoscopy. I get the nurse, who tells me he will call me right back. He didn't call me back!!! MY THROAT WAS KILLING ME, I was crying, telling Ron I felt like I swallowed glass!
I decided to call my primary doctor, who is appalled that he didn't call me back. She faxed over a note to my supervisor's and called over to speak to Dr. Garcia. My doctor rocks, I really like her.
Today, I have severe tenderness and my throat is still pretty raw. They are calling in some meds for me and told me to try and walk around more, it might help with my distended stomach.
The good news is that everything looks good and I have 1 more test to go. Then all of this crap will be over and I can have my life back!
Ron has been PREFECT! He took such great care of me. He cleaned the house, got me food and gatorade. He even fed me, when I was really weak. Some laundry turned pink, but thats okay...he tried =)
The doorbell just rang.
The people from Otis (ron's work) sent me the biggest arrangement of flowers I've ever seen!
The card said: " We wish you a speedy recovery, from the Otis family".
how sweet is that!
Time for me to try and eat/drink something.
