To all my Phoenix Wright fan friends, scroll down and watch the 2 YouTube videos. It's made of win. xD
A simple description of this game is... a big party filled w/ crack? lol
If you are a fan of the PS2 FMA adventure games, you're gonna be disappointed (I am one of them...)
I haven't cleared the game. Just finished Chapter 6, but won't have a chance to play Ch 7 until Sunday x_x
This game is mini-game based. Although I like mini-games, the mini-games in this Wii game is just... average. Not that fun, and you can get bored from it easily.
But I guess the mini-games were made to use the motion-detection funcion of the Wii... so that's why there is no fighting component in this game at all (ie, no button smashings)
So if you like leveling up and such, this game has none of that.
There are mini-games such as... searching for items, fixing the automal, escaping via underground routes...etc
This game only uses the Wiimote. You don't need the nunchuk for it. Hence the motion controls is... hard to be precise, because it all depends on if you held the Wiimote correctly. =\
The boss stage of chapter 1 took me like an hour @_@ For that stage, you need to swing your Wiimote up/down/left/right to dodge Roy's attacks, and if you missed *one*, you have to start over. Sometimes even if you did the motion correctly, the Wii'd still say you did it wrong... perhaps your angle was off by a little, I don't know. I was so relieved when I finally passed that part, since it was getting really frustrating =_=; It would be much easier if it's about pressing the right buttons lol... instead of depending on motion detection...
In order to fully enjoy this game, you need to be able to read at least some Japanese... enough to understand the story. Unlike the old PS2 games (which is all about beating up chimeras and killing bosses through button smashings), you actually need to think about what the hints mean, look for the correct items, and do the correct actions. (Well I guess you can follow a walkthrough to do it, but what's the fun of that?) Although for most parts, you can still proceed in the story even if you failed the missions, but then you won't be able to collect the CG's and such. If you can read Japanese, the detective part of the game is very easy, because other characters will tell you when you made a mistake, or missed a key item.
My favourite part of this game would be... 99% of the game is dubbed. EVEN THE MINOR CHARACTERS. This is the biggest reason why I don't play anime games in English cuz I can't stand the English voices =P
======================
Chapter 1 (play as Ed, Al, Riza[Envy], Roy)
The prince has arrived, so the Fuhrer decided to host a festival to welcome the prince. Ed was taken away to enter the State Alchemist race, and left Al in the marketplace... In the marketplace, Al met Elena from Aerugo. While Ed is in the race, Al brought Elena around the city, and they agreed to meet up again the next day at noon. (zomg Mary Sue... even worse than Armony...)
During the final round of the race (Ed VS Roy), Al and Elena were watching in the audience. During the fight (the fight was... not hard, just annoying... Wii sensor = bad), an unknown explosion happened (Envy, who took form of Riza, was behind it). While protecting Elena, Al's head fall off...
Chapter 2 (play as Ed, Al)
Ed's automail was damaged during the race yesterday, so Ed and Winry have to look for materials for fixing it, so that Winry can enter the automail contest.
On the other hand, Al went to the clock tower to wait for Elena (he went at 9:30!!! geez). Elena still didn't show up by 12:30, so Al decided to look around for her in case she got lost. (Though Al also worries that it's because she saw that he doesn't have a body) When Al finally found Elena, Elena screamed "Get away from me!" and then ran away (urge to kill this Mary Sue?), so Al went to watch the automail contest alone.
After winning the automail contest, a bad news strikes... Roy was arrested, for an attempt to assassinate the prince! (the unknown explosion during the battle yesterday injured the prince)
Chapter 3 (play as Ed)
In order to save Roy, Ed and Al have to collect evidence, and Ed is going to be Roy's defendent! (HAGAREN x PHOENIX WRIGHT FTW) However, for this part, even if you successfully collected all evidences and managed to defend Roy, you'd still end up losing the case in the end. Both Ed and Roy will be jailed...
Youtube video for this part because it's too awesome (Only the trial. Collecting evidence isn't fun to watch xD)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfeSmmR-Tj4 Chapter 4 (play as Ed, Fuery, Roy)
Ed and Roy got locked away... Ed will try to escape, but in order to do that, he'll have to do chores (mini-games) everyday. If he did well during the mini-game, he'll get a chance to collect info on escaping. If he didn't manage to escape by the 6th day, Al will come and bribe the guards, so that the mini-games would become easier and Ed will get more time to collect info everyday.
Once Ed manage to escape, he'll get caught and beaten up by Breda, and thrown into Roy's death penalty cell (Breda will put Roy's gloves and a walkie-talkie into Ed's pocket so that Roy can use it later). After Fuery destroyed the transmitter connected to Roy's cell, Roy and Ed will escape from the cell.
After they escaped, the prince decided to let them go. The prince then goes have a dinner with King Bradley, and discuss about the peace agreement for the two countries.
Chapter 5 (play as Elena...........)
I think this is the most pointless chapter of the game lol.
Elena felt bad about mistreating Al earlier, so she decides to look for Al (w/ Winry and Riza's help) and apologizes. After finding Al, Elena and Winry get invited to Riza's place to have a pajamas party (wtf?). They started telling ghost stories... and after all three of them finished, Winry and Riza disappeared after a lightning and thunder. Elena has to look for them inside the dark house (the electricity got cut)... and it's pretty creepy ._. I really hate this part not only because it's hard to see and find the hints (the screen is all dark and red), you also have to keep hearing Elena's scream.....................
After picking up a creepy telephone, the light came back and Winry beat up Ed. Was it Ed who was trying to scare them? It turns out... the creepy voice from the phone... was from someone (thing?) else. Was there really a ghost?!
Chapter 6
At Armstrong's place, a party for welcoming the prince is hosted. (This is where you see all those bikini screencaps, and Riza's purple dress). During the dinner party, you can play as any character you like (Ed, Al, Winry, Roy, Riza, Elena) and switch anytime before 9pm. The best couple will get to watch the fireworks together. Of course, the key of the party is to create a couple, so I attempted to make Ed and Al the couple... (cuz I don't ship Edwin, I don't like Elena, and I want to save Roy/Riza for later) and failed miserably lol. For my first try, I got Roy and Al... so I restarted that part, and I ended up with Ed and... ARMSTRONG WTF.
Chapter 7... getting there =P
Well overall, I love the 99% voice acting, and the crack jokes in this game. However, I still prefer the PS2 adventure based games, because button smashing and leveling up are always fun. =P
For those Ed/Win fans, this game is overflooded with Ed/Win, so you can consider getting this game when/if it's out in US. Ed blushed in front of Winry like 2~3 times as far as I remember.......... while Al blushed over 9000 times in front of Elena =_____=; (I really don't like Mary Sues.............) Roy/Riza is there, but not explicit yet, because for half of this game, Envy disguised as Riza -.-;
I guess you could say there is Roy/Ed too (alone... in the same cell...?), but then Roy is so darn uke in this game lol. The only thing that's lacking in this game... is elricest OTL (why is there no elricest hints ;_; )
PS. Lin/Greed is in the game too. He appeared for one very small scene in chapter 2, when Al was searching for Elena.
=====================
Finished... omg disappointing.
Chapter 7 (play as Ed, Riza [real])
First you start out as Ed, and you have to collect 15 "Prince Points" around the country to get the VIP seat for viewing the Peace Bonding ceremony (I think). So you just run around, do different tasks to collect the 15 Prince Points. You get to meet a lot of people, such as Lin/Greed (you actually play a game w/ him), and Havoc (for like 5 seconds, literally lol).
Then you start as Riza. King Bradley forces you to assassinate the prince (and you know if you don't, Mustang and co. will be in danger...) so, you try to look for the best spot to carry out the assassination. On your way, Mustang caught you, so you shot him (but missed) and then you ran away. Then you bump into Envy, and Envy will bring you to the best spot for assassination. Right there, you shot the prince and...
THE ENDING CREDIT ROLLS.
I'm not kidding.
THE ENDING CREDIT ROLLS.
Then you get this next chapter preview, showing that Ed blocked Riza's bullet. The tower where Riza was hiding collapsed, and Roy came to save Riza. Then it tells you to get the next game, "The Girl of the Sunset", which should come out in Winter.
WT*? It's a two-part game?!
The next game is called 鋼の錬金術師 黄昏の少女
Apparently it says so in the game booklet. Well I *cough*dl-ed*cough* the game so I didn't know... but uh, I was disappointed. I was gonna buy the game for my birthday later but uh... guess not. It's too expensive to buy two games... and the game is too short =\ Took me about 10 hours in total. Its replay value isn't high either.
By the way, if you were wondering why King Bradley wanted Riza to kill the prince, it's because he wants to ruin the peace bonding ceremony. For all you manga readers out there, you should know that in order for Father's plan to be activated, "blood seals" are required at different parts around the country. One way to plant a "blood seal" would be to start a war, and have a lot of people killed. That's why Bradley wanted to kill the prince... so that a war will engage. It does fit into the manga storyline.
