I'm not kidding - my bro supposedly died of his brain tumour (inoperable) ten years ago. ...except he's too damned stubborn to die. Trust your inner mule!
That's the perspective I'm getting - everyone we know has been whomped somehow, and as I think about all our family and friends I realize that I'm entering the Old Injury Age big time, so might as well accept it and work around it.
I heard of this from our friend Rose, and have been thinking of all of you, wondering what news I would hear next. It's great to hear directly from you!
I don't know if you will remember my son Kenny, but that isn't important. The important part is that he was in a bike accident, without helmet, a couple of years ago and had a really bad skull fracture and concussion, with swelling and bone splinters in his brain and the works. And yet today he is still a brilliant smartass engineer, because medicine just keeps getting better, and the human brain is astonishingly tough, considering.
You've got the brain cells to spare...if anyone can lose a few and still bounce back fine, it's you!
Wow - I hadn't been paying enough attention to Kenny's stuff, but I vaguely remember hearing about this. I'm glad to hear that he's recovering and surviving, both for his sake and mine. (And yours...)
