Location Shoot ABORT!!
So, due to circumstances outside of our control, our location shoot today (which was where all of our scenes for today were supposed to take place) fell through. We lost the location, which screws the entire day. We don't have a backup location, and with actors needing to sit through 3-4 hours of SFX makeup and such to shoot numerous scenes, and tight scheduling issues, today is almost a 100% loss.
The director and producer were able to figure out the few scenes that we can shoot at our hotel, but none of them involve me (I went from being in about 95% of the shots today to 0%). So, I'm back in my hotel room, trying to work remotely to salvage some work hours. A frustrating day to say the least.
And, as a ripple effect, tomorrow's shoot is similarly borked. I'll have probably one scene to shoot. But, at least I'll get to head home early, and not be so exhausted. Perhaps I can work some more hours when I get home tomorrow and then I won't have lost so many hours at work.
