Yes, but if any of it leaked, it wouldn't be necessary to rip up the floor to fix it (nor to fit it as a replacement in the first place).
(There is a heat recovery ventilation system which I could possibly add heating to (air source heat pump? (which, if reversible, could be air conditioning too)) to create a warm air system, avoiding hot water altogether. But keeping hot water would be easier.)
