For years there was a font I used on literally everything that was for myself, I've been using it since I got it from a collection of fonts my parents bought ages ago. The font is called Minima.
https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/scriptorium/minimaThe font has been around since 1993 and as far as I can tell, it's never been updated which means there just isn't any support for unicode symbols and glyphs that were added after 1993. But the real problem is that well.. I don't exactly have a license to use minima for anything commercial. This of course, hasn't been a problem because I've not sold anything that includes the font. No banners or logos made with it, I've been explicitly avoiding doing so because of this reason.
But after all this time, I think I may have finally found a replacement, Muli.
https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Muli It's an open license font, meaning I can use it without fear of copyright concerns, and it's incredibly close in appearance and overall Feel of Minima. It offers different styles and weights for the font which has been something I've desperately needed, a wider range of symbol support and better kerning all around. Moreover, Muli is a
Variable Font. This is something more important for web-interfaces, but I can use the font for titles on my website, providing better scaling and visibility than other fonts not explicitly designed with this in mind.
It's gonna take me some getting used to visually, but it's a switch I've needed to make for some time, and I'm glad to finally have a viable alternative.
