life is what happens while you are busy making other plans
Finally some hot weather here in Duluth. Jay had the weekend off. On Saturday we drove to Ironwood where we handed off the twins to my parents who took them to hang with my sister. On Sunday we cleaned a little and went swimming at Lake Superior. Jay was on-call the fourth. Yesterday after he got home we went swimming at the Lake again.
Harry flies out tomorrow morning to go to Chicago through August 13th. He will be taking the class on Art and Meaning at U of Chicago and then staying a couple weeks to go to Lollapollaza and visit relatives.
Jay is on vacation the weeks of the 18th and the 25th. We plan on doing house stuff the first week. Hopefully the dells the second week.
Ellyn is probably flying home on the 20th to visit. She will be done with her TFA training and will not start teaching until the beginning of August. She might be heading out west though. Jay's sister is starting law school in Portland and she is coming through here for the twins' b-day. So far she is driving alone but Ellyn might jump on from here and road trip it out there with her on the 25th. She will then fly out from Portland back to Memphis. It will be nice to have her home for a little bit.
I signed the twins up for a survival camp at the local nature center the first week of august. It is only 9-12 each day. They will complain about it but end up liking it i think. I was going to sign them up for tennis lessons this upcoming two weeks but i think i will wait until the ones that start august 8th.
jay is on vacation the end of august. He was thinking of going to family camp at the YMCA camp with the twins from the 24th-28th. You stay in a cabin and do all the camp activities. All three of them would really dig that. Harry starts school august 31st.
that is our summer in a nutshell. i am hoping to sneak some golf lessons in there somewhere--maybe ellyn and i can do them together! i hope to fit in more swimming in superior, more knitting and making my first quilt!
