spring break is just around the corner
wonderful weather here.
yesterday it was nearly 70. the boys and i (and una) walked to the little shopping center about a mile from our house. the boys and i ate some lunch at bulldog bar and grill, the boys got their hair cut at great clips, we went to the branch library and got some books, and hit the yarn store! today it is a little cooler and a lot more windy.
i have been trying to do some yard work. the yard waste policy here is that you have to bag it and drive it to the yard waste place. even in lansing you bagged and they had special days they would pick it up. in east lansing you raked it to the curb and a big sucky truck came and sucked it up. the large amount of work for our yard is the long surrounding hedges and getting all the leaves and debris out from the middle and edges of it. I will probably fill 20 bags with just that stuff. i find something strangely relaxing and fulfilling about yard work that i don't get w/ regular housework.
i am getting tired of filling in homemaker or housewife for occupation on forms. I am thinking i should put performance artist. I am employed by the J.M. Shoaps foundation. My life is my art dahrlings....
we now have jay's schedule through august. i am already marking the calendar up that far in advance. I am going to send in the registration for day camp for the boys. Tomorrow I will sign up for classes at the Y for late spring. We will continue with the swimming and maybe gymnastics but we will try to get in the boys' class this time.
we have no plans for spring break. just hanging around duluth i think.
