What A Day
I have just been a posting fool lately. I noticed that I am becoming more comfortable using my livejournal after reading my friends pages and seeing what others posts. There are times when I am like who wants to read this drival about my day or my obsession with fanfic and Ron Weasley. But at least here I am not to worried about being teased or made fun of. My husband tends to do that with my obsessions. He doesn't really have any obsessions that I can tease him back with---but I am waiting one day he will and then there will be no mercy.
It was definately an interesting day at work today. I was absent yesterday because it was parent teacher conferences in my sons school and I wanted to check in with his teachers. Well when I came into work today I was told by one of the APs that I was never allowed to be absent again LOL. I was like what happened? As it turns out the teacher who was covering my advisory had a verbal altercation with one of the boys in my advisory. A little background information I have a 10th grade boy advisory filled with 21 hormonal boys who think they are tuff shit and well can be at times but really are only 15 and 16 years old. Well the teacher was egging the boy on and the boy retailated by insulting the teacher's daughter. Now I know the boy shouoldn't have done that but after all he is a child and the teacher is supposed to be the adult. Well the teacher turned around and grabed this boy by the neck and threatened him. Needless to say there is a discipliary investigation underway. I totally think the teacher was way out of line, but this definately gave me an opportunity to talk to my advisory on the dangers of messing with someone, anyone. I basically told them you all think you are big and bad---tougher then anyone---but the thing is you don't know who your messing with or what they are capable of doing. I hope I got through to them.
Guitar Hero on Wednesday had to be a success becasue today about a dozen kids came to my office to ask me if this was going to be an every Wednesday thing. I told them it wouldn't be everyday but Maybe I would see if I could make it a mothly activity. I just got to get the principal to agree :)
