First Things First
I saw this on RedBlazes journal and asked her a question so I figured I would do the same on mine. CI try and follow the rules.)
Everyone has things they blog about. Everyone has things they don't blog about. Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll write a post about it. Ask for anything: latest movie watched, last book read, political leanings, thoughts on yaoi, favorite type of underwear, favorite food, etc. Repost in your own journal so that we can all learn more about each other.
Now to my day, some of you know I am a high school librarian in BushWick, Brooklyn. A pretty ruff neighborhood. To put it mildly we have representation of three major gangs in our school. The Cripps, the Bloods, and the Latin Kings. So these kids can pretty much hold there own. Some of you might remember from previous posts that I am also addicted to the video game Guitar Hero. Well I decided in my ultimate wisdom to hold a Guitar Hero Challenge slash Fund Raiser in my library. One dollar to play blah, blah, blah... Well I wasn't sure what to expect but I am happy to say the event was a huge success. While we didn't raise a lot of money about $40.00. it didn't cost anything to hold the challenge so it was all profit
but the kids had a BLAST!! They now think I am the coolest thing since sliced bread. They couldn't get over that I Know how to play and could play on hard and expert. I also beat a couple of Kids so they Were very impressed. Needless to say they all want to Know when the next challenge will be and why We can't do this all the time. Now while I had a great time I am completely wiped out. Didn't realize how exhausting it would be but it was worth it:)
I have been dilagently reading for the RHR awards. I am trying to be fair and read everything before I vote. But let me tell you it is not easy. I have read so many amazing fics I wish I Could vote for more than one in each category.I hate the fact that most of my favorites are competing against each other and there can only be one winner.
Come on you guys. . . I blog, that must mean I love to talk about myself. . . Ask me something!
