Law School Update
To date we have applied to 4 schools: Regent University, St. Louis University, Capital University, and Appalachian School of Law.
Regent is one of our top choices, but I'm feeling really nervous about it. Why you ask. Well, because we mailed the application I think 2/17. They say they received it on 2/27, well its now 3/8 and they still haven't requested the LSDAS report. Most schools request this the day they receive the initial application. So I'm nervous. Zac told me he'd call them tomorrow about it. He would have called this morning, but we didn't have enough time. We have also mailed them our completed Financial Aid Application which included an essay. They have also received two letters of rec: one from his supervisor and the other from Fr. Christopher. This is the only school to which we have applied that has not requested the LSDAS report! Why!?! Capital is looking really good too. Its 2 1/2-3 hours from my family which would just be so awesome. Also, Columbus is a cheap city to live in. When Zac was talking to his dad about law school the other night he told us that when he was applying to law school a long time ago that he also applied to Capital and liked it a lot. So that has to say something. Appalachian is a Tier 4 school and has some bad rep just because it’s so new, but he has scores for either a 100% or 75% scholarship there. So that might be good just to go for the first year and then transfer to Regent or somewhere if we don't get so much money from other schools. We are also going to apply to University of Akron, Penn State at Dickinson (if they will still accept our fee waiver which has an expiration date of 3/1, but they have extended their application period on their website), and Ohio Northern University. We are also looking at a plethora of other schools. So we are by no means finished applying. We have also begun looking at joint degree programs, but we have not applied to any.
