Getting back from fighting at the armory, bro joined me. Talked a bit with room mates + guys at the house. Fighting is fun. All kinds, but mostly physical melee, and/or hand to hand combat. Not only is it fun, but it brings out utter emotion of all types, and it represents reflections of humanity in various combat, and the people's reaction to it. As long as no one dies, or gets seriously wounded, fighting can be pretty much only a good thing far as I see. You can really get a lot out of things such as this, it'll make a otherwise "innocent" person wiser to the ways of the world in general. There's a whole heap I haven't yet done in this verse. But my days in fighting give me insight into many other things, and the spirit to take on anything. Through various intesities of combat situations, a man could know utter fear, survivalest instincts, the glory of victory, the hatred and anger of heated combat, the calmness and coolness of the collected warrior, righteousness in fighting for a cause or for someone/something, etc. The fact is this kind of stuff really makes you stronger, and there really ain't no better training for preparing one to take on the badder parts of life. I ain't been doing as complete intense fighting lately, but I been in some in the past, and doing a lot of recreational recently, which is about as good mostly. It gives one a feeling of all the different emotions in life, and one who has experienced all of these is better because of it. Let any who say I would not know of some avenue of worldly experience of any kind first see my fists and legs in action, and then see if they would still believe some unexpected plight would daunt or scare me so much. It also ain't so much the strength and ability of fighting, you don't have to really be good at it to gain from it. It's the spirit and knowledge you just gain from doing it, making you a better person. Someone who fights for a cause but fails, should still be honored for attempting that fight with all their soul. This violence, and human attitude for combat... participation in healthy activities of it teaches courage, conviction, and morality. A lot of the martial arts credos also prolly mention something to this degree, it's pretty much true. My favorite anime Rurouni Kenshin also supports this ideal. It's just really cool. People these days shouldn't be so opposed to duking it out with eachother once in a while maybe.
