I'm starting to hate this great resourse of ours....the internet.
1. I am sick of everything trying to access the internet (for alleged updates). We have a firewall or something that asks if we want to allow or deny access to the net. When I play a song.....Winamp is trying to access the internet, Musicmatch is trying to access the internet. I go to type a letter...MS Word is trying to acces the internet. So the next time windows updates itself will Solitare and Minesweeper try to access the internet?
2. I am sick of pop up ads. These thing only used to exist only on certain sites. Now they're everywhere.
3. These ads used to open a new window or be static. Now they float across your screen and/or block something the you are trying to read. I assume these "marketers" think that ads in popup windows or at the top or bottom of a page weren't good enough, so they had to force you to see it. Do they realize that they are not getting more commerce(?) because of apathy or do they think we just didn't notice their ads?
4. I'm sick of aol's junk too. I can't even check my mail because all the ram is being used to show me an ad.
And oh the irony, the ads that ask if you are tired of ads.
I'd like to make a virus that goes to these CEOs computers and just flash ads 24/7.
And another thing on computers, what does checking the box next to "don't ever show this message again" supposed to do? I've seen it more than once for the same thing.
