Guina R&D has successfully completed a series of tests of its first ever Sodium-Potassium based Liquid Metal Current Collector system. The systems is rated at 20,000 A, 3600 RPM and has a resistance of about 300 nOhm. It is equipped with water cooling system, capable of dissipating up to 5 kW of heat energy. The system has an outstanding current carrying capacity at a surface speed of 75 m/s, which was achieved during the tests.
