Wow, thank you so much for that insightful critique... Yes, Yr 12 is just about equivalent to A levels in England. Here in Australia you do what's called a higher school certificate, or HSC at the end of Yr 12. (Well, I'm not actually properly in Yr 12, only for this subject.) Funny you should mention word limits and such... In the assessment booklet it says 4 reports - 8 pages total. I have... 18. (With 1 1/2 spacing, though.) I like doing things properly, which means I could easily have written 20 pages on each. But our teachers seem to be happy with 2 page reports. Weird, huh? (There's 2 other report I've written, can't bother posting them though because it's actually due in today.)
So I'll have a look back over them and follow your suggestions on grammar and sweeping statements (Aww, they sound so nice... But I know what you mean and it's not usually something I do at all. Funny, deadlines must do that to you.)and all the other bits you pointed out... I really wasn't counting on such in depth comments, thank you very much for everything.
The internet's funny, people tell you its no good for information and then you get people who have an MA in Bronze Age Crete who read your stuff... Makes you feel kinda special.
I hope I get a good grade once I've fixed this up, because I've had perfect marks in every assignment so far but we have a new teacher at the moment until our old teacher gets back from being on leave and I'd hate to break my good record. But then, our actual teacher is the strictest person ever whic it comes to marking and if he said that I should have gotten 30/20 on my Indus assignment then I suppose I'll be fine. (Just realised that sounds a lot like bragging... Didn't mean to at all. I'm just a perfectionist.)

Yeah the internet is a cool place for getting information, etc :) I did my MA in Greek Archaeology and History which covered the archaeology of prehistoric Greece (Minoans and Myceneans) and classical Greece (specialising in Sparta). It's nice to be able to share some of the things I paid a lot of money to learn, lol.
