I'd already planned on making a c. 14th century gown and under-dress for me to wear during Konstrunda but now I think I'll also include my dressmakers dummy in my exhibit so I can include more clothing. My gown will be in a slate-blue wool plaid and the under-dress is a linen and cotton blend (since I can't afford 100% in the proper weight). I suspect there's a bit of acrylic blended with the blue wool but I got it at a good price. I pretty definitely will be the only person in FKiU who is dressed in period costume. When I brought-up the idea at our dec. meeting of us ALL dressing in garb during Konstrunda, I got a bit of good-natured eye-rolling!!! :-)
Anyway, I've mentioned before that I have some pink wool with blue flecks that I intend to wear with my silver embroidered skirt. Now I've found a GREAT pattern in the Nov-Dec 2006 issue of Kreative Kvinnor. I LOVE PATTERN MAGS!!! :-) The latest issue has some lovely larger sized patterns and the editor wrote that, since many women had written in about how hard is it to find NICE larger patterns, this will be a regular feature and not just a one-time thing. The pink and silver outfit will be more inspired by medieval dress than an attempt at recreation, though.
