Synopsis: The Doctor and Peri land in Totter's Lane circa 1985 and soon discover the Cybermen lurking beneath it in the sewers, with convoluted plans to alter the course of Haley's comet to collide with the Earth! The Doctor also sees a man he last encountered in his previous incarnation working for the Daleks now working for the Cybermen...who is he really out for?
Production Context: This story is perhaps the best example of this era of the show - where it was constantly dipping into and referencing its own history. In order to fully understand the plot, it is almost necessary to have seen every other Cybermen story up to this point. They even bring back a bit player from the previous season's Resurrection of the Daleks and make him quite an important plot point!
