I didn't keep track of books in 2006... the year was just nuts all around. But I'm going to try to do better this year, since I've tracked my reading since 2003 otherwise. ;-)
Got a B&N giftcard for Xmas and invested in my favorite series that I've never actually owned... Anne Bishop's Dark Jewels trilogy.
1. Anne Bishop - Daughter of the Blood, Book 1 of the Dark Jewels Trilogy. Dark fantasy. Reread. 5 stars.
2. Anne Bishop - Heir to the Shadows, Book 2 of the Dark Jewels Trilogy. Dark fantasy. Reread. 5 stars.
3. Anne Bishop - Queen of the Darkness, Book 3 of the Dark Jewels Trilogy. Dark fantasy. Reread. 5 stars.
Series note: this is a very dark and adult series...wouldn't recommend it for the under 16 crowd. Very good and great character development. If you like the "bad boy" as the hero of the story, definately a good pick.
4. Sarah Ash - Lord of Snow and Shadows, Book 1 of The Tears of Artamon series. Fantasy. 3.5 stars.
I'll input more once I finish the series as a whole, but Book 1 has a bit of trouble with plot and characterization, almost as if the author realized she'd concluded a plot line too soon and had to backtrack to blow it up so she could do a trilogy or whatever this one turns out to be. But the overall story caught my attention enough to start book 2.
Currently Reading: Sarah Ash - Prisoner of the Iron Tower. Fantasy. Up Next: Kelley Armstrong - Stolen. Modern Fantasy/Horror.
