The long pauses between updates are probably going to be a chronic thing. Too much to do at work, and don't want to be near the computer at home because I'm tired of computers in general by the end of the day. Right now I have a free second because MSN AdCenter's being a drag and won't produce yesterday's budget report online. That site tries my patience - the report's supposed to auto-email every day for yesterday's report, but it sends me the day before yesterday's report instead. Frustrating.
We're settled in (mostly) at the new place, and got
amajos settled in as well. Had some rounds with the cable contractors, both when we first moved in (they reported all outlets live, but never checked the bedrooms), then with the add-on so that
amajos could have broadband as well. Turns out the first set of guys didn't check the signal strength from the pole to the house, so we've got negative numbers. Comcast is supposed to come out today to find where the line's losing signal, whether in the line across our backyard or further up, since we're way down on the end of a cable run. This guy's been rather nice, as we found out he's paid by the job, not the hour, so the two trips he's made to our house just for
amajos's cable have been on his own initiative. He could have just turned in his paperwork like the first jerks did and pretended he'd finished the install.
Do any of you ladies (or guys for that matter) know of a product (shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner) that will help control frizzing? I ask because I know there's a variety of ethnic backgrounds on my friends list...
My hair is one big fuzzball lately, and I can't use mousse or gel and have problems with hairspray due to psorasis (all three tend to irritate my scalp, and even when they don't, the frequent washing they cause irritates it). I used to have some stuff that worked, but can't remember what it was, other than I had to get it from the haircare section meant for african hair, not the garden variety stuff. I need something where I don't have to wash my hair every day to get rid of the buildup... I hate having to use a medicated shampoo, and if I wash it every day, even that wouldn't help.
Also, any suggestions for a moisturizer for the palms and soles of the feet that doesn't feel oily? My hands *HURT* right now... partly seasonal, partly washing dishes because the dishwasher was broken until last week). They are chapped and peeling, and so are the soles of my feet, and my elbows. I don't want to have problems with getting gunk on my keyboard from using a regular lotion on my hands, so suggestions are much welcomed.
Lastly... I don't spend a fortune on care products, so if it's some majorly expensive brand, it's probably not going to help me. Anything more than $3-4 a bottle for hair care is too rich for my blood. My hair is long and ultra thick, so I go through them very very fast. Lotion, I'd spend a bit more, just because it lasts longer.
