I'm Thinking Positively Today

Work... bah. Doesn't deserve the LJ time.

Writing: First 450 or so words of "The Simple Life" is posted at arkiebrat. That title has GOT to go in the long run. Now if I can just get the rest of what is written up typed - and the story itself finished (about 3/4 way done I think). It's taking up permanent residence in my head ( Read more... )

I'm a foody gal myself. I like MU in the oil burner or on my wrist before sleep. Shub smells divine on me. *hugs* If I ever decide to get rid of my bottle(now a half bottle) of MU, I'll send it your way. ;)

As for the MU, if you get bored of it, sure. But I may end up hunting down some later on on ebay, since it's not as rabidly sought as Shub. And I'm not as mournful considering Gluttony is so darn close. I need to try one or the other at bedtime to see if it helps me sleep.

Eek. Today I had my first scent actually smell like OIL (as opposed to the lotion scent I get off sandalwood scents). The Red Queen smells like cooking oil. I wonder if it's gone "off", as it is supposed to be deep mahogany and rich, velvety woods lacquered with sweet, black-red cherries and currant.

None of those explain the oily scent to me, although since sandalwood turned lotion, maybe it's the mahogany or woods? Dang... I really like cherry and currant. I hate to trade it to someone else not knowing.

I wonder if you have received a diluted imp or something. I might have an extra of The Red Queen lying around and I can send it to you to try that way you know for sure. I know she kept denying it, but I think that one woman was diluting oils. I could tell the difference in the feel of the oil. Let me know if you want me to send it to you. *hugs*

I'm doubtful on the dilution, even though it is a decant, simply because the last two "owners" of the imp were folks I felt were trustworthy (I've actually traded with both at some point), and at least one of them reviewed it and got fruit out of it. I think it is just some wood element that doesn't mix with my skin chemistry. I'm going to ask at the LJ comm to see if anyone else has gotten an oily note on it and see if I can identify the culprit.
