I bought Kim Harrison's book Every which way but Dead (I'm pretty certain that was it now) a few weeks back, but haven't read much as other books from the library got in the way lol but I really like it. I've been keeping my eye out for the other books so I can read those first before I go further into this one, although I guess it really doesn't matter as I didn't read LKH's books in order in the beginning either.

I'm hoping to pick up a couple Jacqueline Carey's books on Thursday when I head out of town with my husband for the afternoon. A good friend recommended them to me so I'll be adding those to my pile of books to be read :D

In typical buy/skip mentality for series, my local library has Book one and Book three of Harrison's. I'd been trying to get Dead Witch Walking since May, but it kept being checked out. I finally put a request in, and what do you know? I got the book the next day, even though it wasn't due back in yet. I will probably skip #2, as it didn't kill me to skip book 1 for the Sookie Stackhouse books (although I remain eternally grateful that I spent NO money on that book).

Carey's fabulous... I just haven't been in the mood for being completely and utterly sucked into such intense prose, plot, and characters, which is why it's still on Mount-to-be-read.

You're WAY ahead of me. Of course, I didn't start until March...

You hadn't read anything at all before March? ;-)

Do like some folks and do a percentage. Then it's easier to compare to those who started on a different date.

'sides, if you look at my 2004 list - I barely made the 50, and in 2003 - I didn't make it at all.

Actually, I didn't start reading until April, after looking back. I managed to get a lot of books read in April because Kat slept a lot more and didn't move back then. Now, however, I'm not able to read as much. So...no books until April. I mainly watched movies. :}
