It's amazing how far reaching the heat wave got... I was hearing complaints from nearly 100% of the Americans on my f-list, not just the usual Southerners and Southwest folks.

I don't imagine ya'll hit 102 a lot up there. ;-)

All thetime actually. Maryland weather is horrible. 90's and 100's with high humidity all summer long 20's and 30's with snow and ice all winter.

I'd be celebrating if it got to 74! Today's high was 63, and it's not going to get much warmer for the forseeable...

Our high is supposed to be in the mid-80s today, but back into the low 90s tomorrow and mid 90s by Monday or so. But anything's better than heat indexes that were regularly 105 or better there.

I don't know if the boys talked him into it, but they were asking last night to go back out and climb Pinnacle. They have felt very cooped up, since it has been too hot for them to play outside much lately, not with Heat Advisories on.

The drought's really hitting hard in the southern half of the state too... rain's trickling in (Drought 2005). Maybe last night's storms (which moved over the southern half of the state) will help them out.

Normally, we require my boy to "earn" computer or game time by spending at least the same amount of time outdoors (courtesy of WykdWolffie's insistence). It is usually a fair trade until the Heat Advisories make it non-feasible.

Also, thanks for reminding me. I MUST water my plants tonight!

Heat Advisories? Take pity on the poor shivering Brit (only meant to get to 61 today)
