In general, an act. A farce. Seeing what shouldn't be, and adopting an expression fit to imitate what we have seen on television. I look on without expression, feel the predictable swells prompted by music and flatness of effect as the Reverand speaks.
Whispers go up as we walk in with the people from the auxillary chapel. Ain't been sighted in Springfield in a while, all my haunts are new and strange. Bastard thing to do, I know. Taking pleasure in that, as I queue up to gander at the body.
Died on a Saturday, and today it is Friday. The body is far South, blue and subtly deformed. No rope burns, and that's a nice touch. Parents know my face, but no name. Fair enough.
At the remembrance lunch we recall. I recall decking him in 6th Grade before band and when, at my birthday party two years later, my cat Oreo scampered across the room, got tangled in the controllers for his Dreamcast, and pulled it and the television off the cabinet. I also recall that he locked Growltiger up in a closet because the cat freaked him out. Watching his copy of Dogma on the Band Trip by tearing out the coaxial feeding the hotel television.
We catch up with one another, too. I have a strange conversation with the stunningly beautiful blonde that left in 10th grade to pursue a scholarship in dancing. She's dating a computer science major from Bolivia. She describes him as being socially awkward. She says she had told him about me. I guess she knew something back then I did not.
How is this, what does it mean? Next to nothing, I'm afraid. This is an added option on a dialog tree and little else. It took time work through, to chew it over in the way society demands us to. Was a bit exhausting, but very, extremely over. He's dead, and I don't care why. Don't care what his Note said. Have I an authorial eye, this all reads as a dramatic copy which has no original, life imitating art to a tedious degree.
Moving on. Super Mario Galaxy is a most excellent game. It is worth purchasing a Wii to play this game. Go watch a review on YouTube if you have any doubts. My sole complaint is that it requires 60 stars to beat, and I'm not sure what 120 stars is going to get me just yet.
Also playing Twilight Princess and enjoying the shit outta it. For some reason nightfall in a 3D Zelda game is just fucking matchless.
