My recital's laced with the bible; life is just a time-trial, trying to make the finals...

Okay, so there's only about another nine months left in this freaking deployment. Insert swear words here. I'll be taking over my new platoon sometime next week, and I still have no idea how this is going to work or how I'm going to make it through the next 9 months. "Nine months is nothing; it's a hockey season," says Tom Cruise, in A Few Good Men. Speaking of hockey, go Pens! Damn Red Wings...Anyway, it's already been two weeks since I last saw my wife and I've got to say that (so far, hold your breath) time is going by a little quicker than it was before I left. Not to say that it's going fast or anything, but it's still a little faster by comparison. I just can't wait to get back to the U.S. I know that sounds stupid nine months out, but there isn't much to look forward to here. Plus, after having such a wonderful (can't stress that enough) R&R, my thoughts are stuck back home on my loved ones. Time to let out a big sigh, pick up my stuff and march along...I'm not enjoying it, though...
