Feeling muchly better and more extroverted all the time. Not much time though so ...

  • Work: going much better in many ways, though the next few weeks may not be as fun. Load-testing I am working on with a co-worker will be coming up on a big deadline (go/no-go on major software release, with a very short time-window to drop it in, having to do with academic schedules from every unit at the University).
  • Carolyn/me: much happiness.
  • Health: doing better and better in terms of eating right and extercising. I dropped about 7 pounds since the start of the year (I think I had a "set point" in the 217# range +/- 3#, now it seems like my set point is about 210 and I'm plateauing there. I'm not particularly concerned about that plateau). Riding my bike to work a big majority of the time (that puts in minimum of 5 miles/day, more if I go shopping or to an exercise class after work), walking in the woods with co-workers nearly every day, doing 6:30am Mon-Wed-Fri walk with various local LJ friends(
_earthshine_ set it up) but that's got to balance my lessened productivity when i get less sleep, so I leave my alarm set for 7am and only go when I naturally awaken by 6:15, then I can run out the door.
  • My brother Michael's wedding in Dallas in May was wonderful, and made some new friends, and things mostly felt good with my brothers and me (with some weird dynamics, which seem to always occur when all three of us get together). I like his wife (I had not met her before).
  • House: we put on a new door (with lots of glass) and sidelight, and the living room is noticeably brighter. w00t!
  • More house: IKEA cabinets get delivered Monday (what wouldn't fit in our car), and the kitchen re-do gets started in earnest.
  • Music: band has a few random gigs, lately mostly parties; one dance gig we have for Oakland County contradance in July is halfway through my vacation so I won't be there. Next gig I know of that's public: September 6th at the Midland, Michigan contradance.
All I have time for for now!
